2019 Extreme Huntress™ Official Competition Rules
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. PURCHASE WILL NOT ENHANCE CHANCES OF WINNING. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries timely received by Sponsor. Contest begins on May 1, 2018 and ends at 11:59 p.m. Mountain Standard Time January 18, 2019.
ELIGIBILITY. Open and offered only to persons who reside in all States and Provinces, and or Countries except where prohibited by law, female, 18 years of age and older when Competition begins on or about May 1, 2018. Employees and directors of Firesteel Films, Inc. (“Sponsor”) and our Ranch location – TBD (“Promotional Participants”), or any advertising partners, including any parent entities, subsidiaries and affiliated companies, advertising, promotion, or production agencies, Web masters and Web suppliers (and their respective IRS dependents, immediate family members and individuals residing in their same household) are not eligible to participate. Void where prohibited. By participating, entrants agree to these Official Rules and the decisions of the Sponsor and the Promotional Participant and waive any right to claim ambiguity in the Competition or these Official Rules.
HOW TO ENTER:
Enter the Competition by submitting an entry video (up to three minutes in length) about why participant is a hardcore huntress by dedicating her life to the outdoor adventure lifestyle. Include two pictures in jpeg format, fully executed Application and Waiver by April 15, 2018 via email to firstname.lastname@example.org or on the contest entry page on the website (https://www.extremehuntress.com/about-the-contest/the-entry-form/).
Limit one (1) entry per person. Sponsor, Promotional Participant, their respective parent companies, affiliates, subsidiaries, distributors, participating retailers and advertising and promotion agencies, and all of their respective officers, directors, shareholders, employees, agents and representatives (collectively, “Released Parties”) are not responsible for illegible, lost, damaged, incomplete, mutilated, destroyed, or stolen official entries, or for the incorrect or inaccurate entry information whether caused by equipment, programming used in this Competition, printing, human processing or other error, or otherwise. All submitted entries become property of the Sponsor, and will not be returned.
Entries are null and void and will be rejected if not obtained in accordance with these rules and through authorized, legitimate channels, or if they are from other games or contests, if they are copied, computer generated, or mechanically reproduced, or if any part of an entry is counterfeited, illegible, mutilated or tampered with in any way, or if they contain or reflect printing, typographical, mechanical, or other errors.
SEMI-FINALIST: Sponsor will determine a semi-finalist from all eligible entries, timely received, by judges panel. There will be no prizes for semi-finalists. Semi-finalist will have their essay and pictures posted on www.extremehuntress.com website on May 1, 2018 through June 1, 2018 for on-line judging by the public. Competition Finalists will be determined by a combined 20% online votes and 80% judge scores. The four (4) highest total combined scored entries will be invited to participate in a hunt and head to head skills competition at the Ranch locations on or about July 30 – August 5, 2018. Sponsor will provide transportation to and from San Antonio International Airport and the Ranch, meals, lodging and hunting privileges plus trophy fees (animals determined by Sponsor and Ranch) for each finalist. Finalist must arrive at Ranch by 5pm CST on July 29, 2018. The decisions of the Sponsor are final and binding in all matters relating to this Competition.
FINALISTS: Finalist activities package has an approximate retail value (“ARV”) of no less than $2500.00 per finalist. This amount can change depending on what trophy animals are taken during the hunt. There is no guarantee finalist will harvest any animals as the nature of the hunt will be challenging. The hunt cannot be exchanged or scheduled at any other time, nor does it have any financial value, which can be bartered or sold. This hunt will be filmed for a series of videos called Extreme Huntress™ Competition. Episodes will be distributed online (world wide web). Videos will be posted online on the Extreme Huntress™ Facebook Page (FB) and the FB video player be embedded on the Extreme Huntress website (https://extremehuntress.com/) and continue to be hosted on the internet (world wide web) for an indefinite amount of time. Finalists online voting by the public will occur on or about 12:01am MST November 15, 2018 through 11:59pm MST, January 16, 2019. During this time period, the public will vote on their favorite Extreme Huntress™.
The Extreme Huntress™ winner will be determined through a combination of online votes (10%); head to head skills competition scores (30%); and judges scores from Ranch hunt (60%). Winner will be introduced at the Dallas Safari Club conservation award luncheon in January 2019.
ON-LINE VOTING: Semi-Finalist Voting: All online voting will be limited to one vote per person per email address per IP address for Semi-Finalist voting period (30 days) and finalists voting.
Semi-Finalists and Finalist Voting: All online voting will be limited to one per person per email address per IP address. Any participant who promotes cheating, voting with aliases, incentivizes voters with financial or prize giveaways for votes, or utilizes an online contest voting website will be disqualified. Voters who attempt to undermine, cheat or knowingly vote multiple times will have all of their votes disqualified. Any competitor who post negative comments regarding another finalists, sponsor, production crew member, judge or other known production crew member will be disqualified. A Finalists who doesn’t immediately remove any false, negative or derisive comments on their personal social media accounts posted by a known supporter will be disqualified. Any Finalists or group of Finalists who work together to support another Finalists will be disqualified. Any participant who is disqualified agrees to reimburse Sponsors (Firesteel Films, Inc.)the full retail cost of the activities package or no less than $2500 USD. Finalist voting period will be from October 7, 2018 through January 16, 2019.
Extreme Huntress Website voting module is handled by a third party and is not controlled by the competition Sponsor.
Winner Determination: Winner will receive an original award designed by artist Mark James and will reign as Extreme Huntress 2019 for period of one year (or until Extreme Huntress 2020 is announced).
Any other props and wardrobe details will be at the sole discretion of the Sponsor. Winners may not substitute, assign or transfer the Finalists, or redeem the any prop, wardrobe or award for cash, but Sponsor reserves the right to substitute award should the advertised award become unavailable in whole or in part for any reason. In addition, all affidavits, releases and undertakings set forth in these Official Rules must be executed and undertaken by the finalists and finalist winner or opportunity to participate will be forfeited and awarded to an alternate participant.
If any participant cannot participate as stated, the hunt competition will be forfeited in its entirety and, at the Sponsor’s discretion, Sponsor can choose to award hunt competition to a runner-up, or any other entry, of the remaining eligible entries.
Finalist Expenses: All expenses not specified herein are the sole responsibility of the finalists, including without limitation all transportation to and from departure point for hunt competition (San Antonio, TX) and awards dinner (Dallas, TX) and personal expenses, medical insurance packages, trip insurance, trophy prep, taxidermy, and any other miscellaneous costs participant chooses to incur. Sponsor will provide award dinner tickets for finalist and one guest or spouse.
RELEASES: All participants must sign eligibility and liability release documents prior to the disbursement of the prize (participation in hunt/skills competition). There will be no changes to itinerary unless extended by the Promotional Participant at its sole discretion and approved by Sponsor.
HUNT CANCELLATION: Should any act occur outside of Competition Sponsor or contest Promotional Participant control, which leads to the cancellation of any hunt competition, competition Sponsor or Producer will not be held liable for any fees, costs or financial obligations to finalists or Grand Prize winner. This may include acts of war, terrorism, financial bankruptcy of Promotional Participant or Sponsor providing hunt competition, or any condition, which would lead to cancellation of hunt competition.
CONDITIONS OF PARTICIPATION: Participants agree (a) to abide by these rules and all decisions of Sponsor and the Promotional Participant which shall be final in all respects relating to this Competition; (b) that Released Parties will have no liability whatsoever for, and shall be held harmless by participant against any liability for any injuries, losses or damages of any kind to persons, including death, or property resulting in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, from acceptance, possession, misuse or use of any prize or participation in this Competition or any Competition related activity; or for any typographical or other error in the printing, offering or announcement of any prize via entry forms, posters or any other media; (c) except where legally prohibited, to grant (and agree to confirm that grant in writing) permission for the Released Parties and those acting under their authority to use his/her name, photograph, voice and/or likeness, for advertising, trade and/or publicity purposes without additional compensation in all media now known or hereafter discovered, worldwide and on the Internet, without notice, review or approval; (d) that the Released Parties may collect the personal information submitted by participants (including voters), and use the information for sales and marketing purposes; (e) that winner will be required to complete, sign, and return an Affidavit of Eligibility, a Liability Release, Extreme Huntress™ Competition Application, and, where lawful, a Publicity Release within 14 days of receipt and that if documents are not returned by winner on a timely basis, or if any opportunity notification is returned as non-deliverable on account of inaccurate or incomplete entry information or otherwise, or if winner is found to be ineligible or not in compliance with these Official Rules, such award or opportunity will be forfeited and awarded to an alternate winner; (f) if no alternate winner can be selected, for any reason in the Sponsor’s sole discretion, hunt competition will be forfeited in their entirety and will not be awarded to any Competition participant; and (g) Sponsor may disqualify anyone from participating in the Competition or winning a prize if, in their sole discretion, they determine that such person or participant’s supporters are attempting to undermine, tamper with, or abuse any aspect of the Competition, by cheating, deception or other unfair playing practices, or intending to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other entrant or Sponsor’s representatives, Sponsor reserves the right to terminate such participant’s eligibility.
Any Participant who is convicted of major fish and game violation during any phase of the competition or during the time period of Extreme Huntress™ Award reign or any time in the future, participant will be disqualified and/or removed as Extreme Huntress™ winner. In the case of a winner being removed, the Sponsor withholds the right to assign or give the title to any runner up. Extreme Huntress Award trophy must be returned. Should a winner be removed from her reign and not return Award trophy, disqualified/removed participant will invoiced/billed and agrees to reimburse Sponsor (Firesteel Films, Inc.) for the replacement costs of said award at market prices including shipping and handling fees.
Participant also agrees to release Sponsor and all sponsor participants from all liability for any hunting or firearms related accidents or situations which might cause bodily harm or even death. Participate also agrees to not participate in any video production, television series or other similar production which may mimic, copy, or hold itself out in any way to Extreme Huntress™ without written permission from Firesteel Films, Inc..
ANY ATTEMPT TO DELIBERATELY UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE COMPETITION OR SLANDER OR DEFAME THE COMPETITION, PRODUCERS, JUDGES, SPONSORS OR PRODUCTION CREW MAY BE IN VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS AND SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, SPONSOR RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES AND OTHER REMEDIES (INCLUDING ATTORNEYS’ FEES) FROM ANY SUCH INDIVIDUAL TO THE FULLEST EXTENT OF THE LAW, INCLUDING CRIMINAL PROSECUTION. ALL LEGAL ACTIONS WILL TAKE PLACE IN THE STATE OF MONTANA, FLATHEAD COUNTY, UNITED STATES OF AMERICA.
SPIRIT OF EXTREME HUNTRESS™ COMPETITION:
This competition was solely created to protect, preserve and promote our outdoor heritage as embodied by the history of wild game conservation and management first enacted by President Theodore Roosevelt in the United States of America. Our goal is to create positive roles models for women who may want to participate in the hunting and outdoor adventure lifestyle. We like to say, “If mom goes hunting so will her children.” Thus, giving future generations the opportunity they may never enjoy and forever providing support for the wise use, management, and conservation of wild animals and their habitat.
Please do not enter if your sole purpose or motivation is to win free gear, prizes and/or hunting trips. The Extreme Huntress™ Competition is intended to give our winner the platform and opportunity to promote the outdoor adventure lifestyle.
